"MAGNESIA"
A product that the market is demanding, that our environment is demanding and that our health and wellbeing are demanding.
Magnesium
Magnesium (Mg) is the eighth most abundant element in the Earth’s Crust and the fourth most common element in the Earth (after iron, oxygen, and silicon), making up 13% of the planet’s mass and a large fraction of the planet’s mantle. It is the third most abundant element dissolved in seawater, after sodium and chlorine. It is green, functional, versatile, renewable and a very economical building material. It has recently been shown to outperform, and thus be, an attractive alternative to Portland cement concrete, gypsum, and wood products, specifically plywood and particle board (OSB).
Magnesium Oxide (MgO) is produced by the calcination of Magnesium Carbonate or Magnesium Hydroxide. It is a white solid mineral that occurs naturally and consists of a lattice of Mg2+ ions and O2− ions held together by ionic bonding.
